ALUMNI ASSOCIATION- EXECUTIVE BODY MEETING - MINUTES

In the meeting, the following has been decided
1.	The main aim of the association is to promote UBS as a brand.
2.	To update the database of the alumni that is available with UBSAA and finding out the ways and means to track and register more alumni.
3.	To update and refine the website and making it more alumni oriented with all the recent updates and also devising a structured way of receiving and responding to the alumni queries. Charge for this task is taken up by Mr. Satish Gupta and Mr. Vineet Raj Kapoor.
4.	To maintain the minutes of all the meetings of UBSAA. These shall be formally signed and put up on the website. The responsibility of the same has been given to Puneet Kaushal & Suchika Jain.
5.	To conduct a research on the activities of alumni associations of the various leading business schools of India and abroad to derive ideas and help in structuring the tasks of UBSAA. The alumni activities will be benchmarked with alumni associations of other business schools. Neha Gopal & Jasmin shall conduct this research and submit a detailed report on Aug 31, 2006.
6.	To hold the Annual Alumni Reunion marking the Silver Jubilee of the batch of 1981 on October 28, 2006. Mr.Ajit Kishore shall be incharge for the same.
7.	To collect information of the batch of 1981. The responsibility for this task has been given to Deepti Goyal and Kunal Nagpal
8.	To submit a list of students’ Short term and Long term expectations from the alumni association (three in each category) with the focus on how the association can work towards the betterment of the students and the Department. The communication to be forwarded by Puneet Kaushal
9.	To promote direct contact of the Alumni association with the students of UBS. The students shall enroll on alumni association website. A notice board would be maintained in the UBS department which will inform them about Alumni association activities. The messages from alumni would also be put up there.
10.	The funds and the permanent membership of the Delhi chapter of UBSAA shall be transferred to the Centre ( Chandigarh ) and the Delhi Chapter shall be wound up.
11.	To furnish the Alumni association office in the UBS premises. Mr.Ajit Kishore shall be incharge for the same.
12.	To work towards the proposal for UBSAA’s role in providing the students with education loan at the time of their admissions, help them get group discounts on purchase of laptops and of getting the Department technologically advanced. The Presents students of UBS were asked to initiate the action in this regard.
13.	To encourage the students to take up online projects and to encourage participation of the alumni to offer such projects.
14.	As per tradition, UBSAA honors a distinguished alumnus every year at the Silver Jubilee Reunion function. It was decided to invite nominations. The organizing committee headed by Mr. Ajit Kishore will invite nominations and forward to President of UBSAA. The final selection will be done by Executive Committee.
